The Goals of this Website:

The goal of this webpage is to enhance the learning of my Tourtellotte Memorial High School English students.  Here, students (and parents/guardians) may find syllabi and course curricula, assignment descriptions (such as long-term projects, reading, nightly homework), and self-guiding resources for additional help.  Please utilize this source, and please make sure you follow all academic integrity guidelines (i.e. cite it).

 Journalism!

This year, I am be teaching an elective that is offered to only juniors and seniors.  This course focuses on the production of articles through our study of professional resources.  We will infiltrate technology and enhance our writing skills as we explore and develop an appreciation for the vivacious world of journalism.  Please see the "Journalism" tab (above) for a course outline, guidelines, and syllabus.  As always, contact me with questions!

Interesting Tidbits

No words in the English language rhyme with orange - except maybe door hinge, thank you, D Period -, silver or purple.

'Stewardesses' is the longest word that is typed with only the left hand.

"Dreamt" is the only English word that ends in the letters "mt".

Presentation Tips

One of the skills all of my classes will practice this year is delivery of oral presentations.  One such method is the ignite method.  Click Here for further information on what you'll be expected to do!
